A Flash Flood Warning continues for Friendswood and surrounding areas. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen overnight. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or could begin shortly.

Turn around, don't drown

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall may cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
