Delta's effect in Friendswood

The area is receiving wind gusts between 28 to 44 mph from Hurricane Delta. Winds have caused sporadic power outages and downed power lines in the Houston-Galveston Region. One downed line has been reported to the City.

Safety near downed power lines:

-Never touch downed power lines, either by hand or with an object.
-Do not touch anything or anyone who is in contact with a fallen power line.
-Do not drive over a fallen power line.
-Call 911 to report safety hazards, before calling your power provider.
