Frenchman’s Creek Project

The City of Friendswood and Galveston County have been awarded two separate Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program (CDBG-DR) grants to acquire and demolish five (5) Repetitive Loss Properties at Frenchman’s Creek in Polly Ranch; i.e. the Frenchman’s Creek Project (the “Project”).  The project goal is to remove the flood prone structures from the floodplain resulting in approximately five (5) acres of greenspace upon project completion.  No adverse effects to the natural function of the floodplain will result from the project activities. 

The Public Comment period for this project will last 15 days from the date of this posting per the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations.
