There is an Enhanced and Slight Risk of Severe Weather Friday for much of SE TX. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop over SW counties late this morning and then strengthen and spread north through Friday afternoon and evening. Emergency Preparation Supplies Sales Tax Holiday 

This year’s holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, and ends at midnight on Monday, April 26. You can purchase certain emergency preparation supplies tax free during the sales tax holiday. There is no limit on the number of qualifying items you can purchase, and you do not need to give an exemption certificate to claim the exemption. MORE INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS LINK

MEDICATION TAKE BACK EVENT

Medication Take Back Day is Saturday

Drive through and drop off unused, unwanted, or expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medications. No sharps, please. It is a contactless service on Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 1804 S. Friendswood Dr. (Friendswood P.D.), 16602 Diana Lane, Houston (Harris Co. Constable Precinct 8) and 555 W. Walker, League City (League City P.D.). Call 281-284-0370 for more information.
