You will learn how to evaluate and practice effective communication in applications, resumes, basic introductions, and interviewing. This is a free live virtual seminar presented by Workforce Solutions and hosted by Friendswood Public Library via Zoom.

Free access to classic, world, and independent cinema, art, documentaries, educational and instructional films using your library card.

Using Kanopy, you have access to 10 streaming movies per month and three days to watch each stream.


Home Delivery

Home Delivery


Are you homebound due to age or a medical condition? Do you love to read but are no longer able to commute to the Library?
 
Home delivery is a convenient service that supplies books, large print books, audiobooks, magazines, music, and movies to City of Friendswood residents who are unable to use the library due to temporary or long-term physical and medical disabilities.
 
A Friendswood Public Library staff member will deliver library materials to your home and pick up the materials for return on scheduled days.

Friends of the Library

Love The Library?


Become a Friend of Friendswood Library  for as little as a $10 annual membership.  The Friends meet the first Tuesday of the month for an hour to discuss service initiatives, outreach, and fundraising activities.  Meetings are optional but the Friends would love to hear from you.  Become a Friend online through the Friendswood Library website or in person at the library’s circulation desk. 

The Friends have helped the Friendswood Library obtain library equipment such as a portable document scanner, Oculus Rift Virtual Reality System, a display case, Wi-Fi Hot Spots, and prizes for Summer Reading. The Friends also sponsor many library programs and events throughout the year including ZakiCon, May the Fourth Be With You, the Ekphrastic Poetry Contest, music performances, and others.
