Severe Weather Open House Today
The City of Friendswood Office of Emergency Management will host a Severe Weather Open House at the Friendswood Public Library today, July 22nd from 5pm to 7pm. This come and go event will have safety and weather information available from various City Departments, utility providers, Texas Department of Insurance, Texas Wind Insurance Association and other local partners.
The Friendswood Police Department and Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department including the EMS division will have emergency response equipment on display in the parking lot. Come see what equipment would be used during floods and other emergencies within the City.
The goal of this event is to provide an opportunity for residents to learn what local officials do during Severe Weather and what they can do to prepare for emergencies.
Drawing for the Astros Tickets
All event attendees will be eligible to enter a drawing for a free 4-pack of Astros Tickets and parking pass sponsored by Texas New Mexico Power. Be sure to stop by the Friendswood Emergency Management table at the event to be entered into the drawing.
