Family Craft Kit for Pickup

New family craft kits are available for pickup at the circulation desk and drive through window. This week’s kit contains an Uncle Sam craft, paper dolls, crossword puzzle, word search, and coloring pages celebrating the U.S. Constitution.

Adult Spanish Conversation Class for Medical Students (virtual)

Medical students can practice their Spanish conversation skills with Dr. Esperanza Rivas Barrios, a retired physician. The class meets on Wednesdays at 5pm using Zoom. Free. Click here to register and receive the Zoom link.

Love The Library?

Become a Friend of Friendswood Library for as little as a $10 annual membership. The Friends meet the first Tuesday of the month for an hour to discuss service initiatives, outreach, and fundraising activities. Meetings are optional but the Friends would love to hear from you. Become a Friend online through the Friendswood Library website or in person at the library’s circulation desk.

The Friends have helped the Friendswood Library obtain library equipment such as a portable document scanner, Oculus Rift Virtual Reality System, a display case, Wi-Fi Hot Spots, and prizes for Summer Reading. The Friends also sponsor many library programs and events throughout the year including ZakiCon, May the Fourth Be With You, the Ekphrastic Poetry Contest, music performances, and others.
