Police Department Accepting Donations for Ida Relief

The Friendswood Police Department will be collecting the following supplies and donations to support the Houma Police Department as they recover from Hurricane Ida. Drop off begins today and ends on Tuesday, September 7. Donations can be dropped off at Friendswood Police Department, 1600 Whitaker Dr.

Parks & Recreation Survey

Every five years, the City of Friendswood Parks and Recreation Department conducts a comprehensive planning process to develop a master plan for its parks and recreation system. The master plan is used as an overall guide to the development and operation of the City’s parks and other recreational facilities. A crucial component of the process is obtaining and integrating input from you, the patrons of the system. Punt, Pass, & Kick

Punt, Pass, and Kick is on Thursday, September 30 from 4:30 to 6:30 PM on Centennial Parks main football field. This free event is open to boys and girls ages 6-15. Youth will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in punting, passing and kicking with scores based on distance and accuracy.

The top 2 overall finishers as well as the top 2 individual skill finishers from each age group at the Local Competition will qualify to advance to a Regional Competition. The 1st place finishers for each age group at the Regional Competition will qualify to advance to the National Championships, to be held in January 2022. *If no Regional Competition is held, then all qualifiers from the Local Competition will advance to the National Championships.
