Traffic Alert
Traffic on two lanes of FM 518 between Whispering Pines and Winding Way, will be shut down as TxDOT addresses a maintenance issue on the bridge over Cowards Creek. Traffic will run with one lane in each direction over the bridge.
A serious concern was identified September 7, 2021 by TxDOT that required immediate action. TxDOT anticipates the duration of the work to take between 6 and 9 months to complete. Please find alternate routes if possible.
The City will provide updates as they are received.
