Lighted Christmas Trail 

Join us this year for lots of holiday activities starting with the Home for the Holiday's Lighted Christmas Trail which will light up Stevenson Park with over 100,000 lights starting Thanksgiving night! The trail will remain lighted thru January 1st and it's FREE!

Areas of the Park will have different themes including perfect settings, day or night, for capturing the Christmas Spirit in a family holiday photo. Starting December 3rd, send in those photos taken at our lighted trail and have a chance to win a prize, check our Facebook page for the contest post.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule

City Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 25-26.
 
The City of Friendswood’s Trash and Recycling collection vendors, Waste Connections, will not be working on Thanksgiving Day this Thursday, November 25. Services will resume on the next regularly scheduled pick-up day following the holiday.
 
Friendswood Public Library will be closing at 6pm on Wednesday, November 24 and will be closed Thursday, November 25 through Sunday, November 28.
 
Lake Friendswood Park will be closed November 25-26. Stevenson Park will be open for walkers/joggers on those days.

No Friendswood fitness classes November 21-28, check Jazzercise and Camp Gladiator for their holiday schedules.

On Friday evenings beginning on December 3 at 6pm join us for Holidays in the Park, we will have holiday music at the gazebo, snow flurries and food vendors on Friday's thru December 17.





Santa in the Park

Santa in the Park – December 4

The event we are all waiting for and we are so happy to bring back after last year’s cancellation, HomeTown Bank and Keep Friendswood Beautiful Santa in the Park! Join us December 4 for Santa in the Park where we will be bringing in over 50 arts and craft vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, over 10,000 lights and 10,000 lbs. of snow along with the Chamber of Commerce Lighted Christmas Parade and end the night with the traditional Tree lighting in Stevenson Park with a spectacular fireworks show. The event is 3-8pm, $10 wristbands for children's activities will be sold the day of the event, attendance to the event is free.
 
Our title sponsor, HomeTown Bank of Friendswood has sponsored Friendswood holiday events for more than a decade, a big thank you to them and our other sponsors for helping us make this trail and Santa in the Park possible and keeping the Christmas spirit alive in Friendswood during the holiday season.

Flapjack

Flapjack Fun Run – December 4

The City of Friendswood Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the annual Flapjack Fun Run 5K Fun Run/Walk and Kid's K to be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Stevenson Park. The Flapjack Fun Run is named for the delicious pancake breakfast served by Whataburger after the 5K (chip timed) race. All proceeds will be used for City park improvements.

5K Run (Run/Walk) - $35 per person ($40 Day of Race)

Utility Billing 

Some utility customers may have receive a second copy of their utility bill dated October 15, 2021. Customers who received the duplicate bill statement should disregard it. The utility charges were NOT duplicated on customer accounts and customers on automatic bill drafting will NOT be drafted twice.
