Drum Circle - Wednesday, January 5th at 6:30pm

Enjoy the stress relief and community building experience of a drum circle! All ages and abilities are welcome at this family friendly event. Some percussion will be provided but feel free to bring your hand drum, shaker, or triangle! Please do not bring drum sets, snare drums, or cymbals!

Taking time to give blood after the busy holiday season can be a bit challenging, but every day numerous people are in need of blood transfusions in 170 hospitals throughout the Gulf Coast region. In fact, 1 in 7 hospitalized patients will need blood. There needs to be 1,000 blood donations a day to sustain the blood supply in the region.

Start the year by saving lives. As a thank you, all donors who donate blood January 2-14, 2022, will receive a “This is The Way” hoodie.

Love The Library?

Become a Friend of Friendswood Library for as little as a $10 annual membership. The Friends meet the first Tuesday of the month for an hour to discuss service initiatives, outreach, and fundraising activities. Meetings are optional but the Friends would love to hear from you. Become a Friend online through the Friendswood Library website or in person at the library’s circulation desk.

The Friends have helped the Friendswood Library obtain library equipment such as a portable document scanner, Oculus Rift Virtual Reality System, a display case, Wi-Fi Hot Spots, and prizes for Summer Reading. The Friends also sponsor many library programs and events throughout the year including ZakiCon, May the Fourth Be With You, the Ekphrastic Poetry Contest, music performances, and others.

Friends of the Library will be meeting Tuesday, January 4th at 6:00pm.
