Concert in the Park Starts Tomorrow

Join us tomorrow for a performance from the Friendswood High School Jazz Band at Stevenson Park Gazebo, 1100 S. Friendswood Dr. at 7:00 p.m., and end at approximately 9:00 p.m. Tomorrow's food vendors are Kettle Korn, Chick-Fil-A (Credit Card Only), Twisted Cow Ice Cream, and Lemonade Bar.

All the concerts are free to the public. Door prizes are given out during intermission. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, refreshments, dinner and/or a snack and sit back and enjoy an evening of fun and family entertainment sponsored by the City of Friendswood Parks & Recreation Department.

Youth Fishing Derby this Saturday

Get those fishing poles ready for the City of Friendswood Parks and Recreation Fishing Derby at Centennial Park on May 7th. This FREE event starts at 8:30 am, come and go until 11 am. Over 600 lb. of adult catfish will be stocked in the Centennial Park Pond for participants to catch, ages 16 and under. No pre-registration is required. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing supplies, since loaner rods will be limited. Prizes awarded to the largest fish in each age group. No fishing license required. Whatabuger will be handing out free breakfast while supplies last. If you would like to keep your catch, there will be someone on site cleaning and bagging fish for people to take home.
