Update 6:05 PM: One Southbound lane of S. Friendswood Dr. is now closed as well. Traffic is being diverted down West Ranch Dr. through the West Ranch neighborhood. The Friendswood Crash investigated team has been called to the scene. Lane closures are expected to last 90 minutes. Avoid the area. Bay Area Blvd can be used as an alternate route.

The Friendswood Police Department currently has all northbound lanes on FM 518/S. Friendswood Dr. closed following an automobile accident involving a motorcycle. Traffic is being diverted down West Blvd. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to the hospital.
