Easter in the Park

Easter in the Park - April 2

The Lions Club and Friendswood Parks and Recreation's FREE Easter Egg hunt is scheduled for April 2nd with a new and improved layout! Bring the family to Stevenson Park for a fun-filled afternoon of egg hunting with the Easter Bunny!

Egg hunts will be broken into the following groups:

  • 0-3 years old 1-1:10pm
  • 4-6 years old 1:15-1:25pm
  • 7-10 years old 1:30-1:40pm
  • Adaptive Egg Hunt 12:30-1:40pm --this egg hunt category is for all ages within our adaptive community!

Youth Fishing Derby

Youth Fishing Derby Sponsorships 

We are now accepting sponsors for this years Youth Fishing Derby! The Youth Fishing Derby is on May 6 from 8:00 - 10:00 AM at Centennial Park. Over 600 lbs. of adult catfish will be stocked in the Centennial Park Pond for participants to catch, ages 16 and under. 

This is a great opportunity for sponsors to engage with the community, and support a family-friendly event that brings a great crowd annually. Sponsor levels available are from $500-$1500. Spring Sparkle

Spring Sparkle - April 15

It's time for Spring Cleaning! Spring Sparkle is Saturday, April 15th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Centennial Park. Friendswood residents are invited to bring truckloads of tree limbs, grass clippings, old appliances, furniture, wood, metal, or plastic to Centennial Park (2200 South Friendswood Drive) for disposal. 
  • Electronic Recycling available from 8 a.m.-noon
  • Shredding available from 8 a.m.-noon or until the truck is full. (Residential shredding only, commercial shredding will not be accepted.
  • Garage Sale - Keep Friendswood Beautiful (KFB) Garage Sale will be having their garage sale, proceeds from the sale will go back to beautification projects in Stevenson Park. Donate your gently used furniture, household items and bicycles (but not clothing) from 8a.m.-noon, hours to purchase items from the garage sale are from 8am-2pm.
  • Hazardous materials are not allowed.
  • Please have ID available for proof of residency.
