Former Booster Club President sentenced to 10-years in prison
Shona “Nikki” Guerra pleaded guilty to stealing more than $200,000 from a non-profit corporation and was sentenced to prison on Thursday.
405th District Court Judge Honorable Jared Robinson sentenced Guerra, the former president of the Friendswood Mustang Booster Club in Friendswood, to 10-years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Correctional Institutions Division.
The investigation began in January 2021 and Guerra pleaded guilty to felony theft in June 2023. She faced 5 to 99 years or life in prison for the first-degree felony charge against her.
The investigation showed that Guerra stole from the non-profit over an extended period. She made personal charges and failed to make cash deposits. The stolen funds would have paid for student scholarships and supported 22 different sports at Friendswood High School.
