Fall Haul Event

The Fall Haul City Wide Cleanup is scheduled for November 11th at Centennial Park, 2200 S Friendswood Drive open to Friendswood Residents only (must present ID as proof of residency upon entering the park). This event will go on rain or shine.

Take advantage of the following free services:

Shredding (Shredding will be offered from 8 a.m. to noon, or until the truck is full. There will be a 200 lbs. limit of paper per vehicle)
Grass clippings
Old appliances
Old furniture
Mattresses for disposal
Tree limbs
Wood, metal, and plastic
Appliances: Refrigerators/Freezers can be dropped off, Freon removal will be done onsite.
NO brick or concrete will be accepted.

Garage Sale (CANCELLED)

Due to the weather conditions the Garage Sale portion of the event has been cancelled. The rest of the event will continue as planned.

No Hazardous Waste

Examples of items that will not be accepted are tires, paint, batteries, oil, or any other household hazardous waste.

No Electronic Recycling

We will not have electronic recycling at this event, it is only offered during Spring Sparkle.

Flapjack Fun Run

The merchandise has arrived for this year's Flapjack Fun Run! Sign up for the run and receive cool swag! Participants will receive custom event socks, a race shirt, a sweatband, a medal, and a Whataburger pancake breakfast!

First-place male and female runners for the 5k run will receive FREE Whataburger for a year and an awesome swag box full of cool Whataburger merch. To register for the event go to, friendswood.com/register .

Santa in the Park Wristbands

Skip the line and purchase your Santa in the Park wristband beginning November 16th through December 1st Monday - Fridays at the Parks and Recreation office in City Hall. City Hall will be closed on November 23rd and 24th for the Thanksgiving holidays. Santa in the Park is December 2nd, 3-8 p.m. in Stevenson Park. Wristbands for children's activities will be $10 each, children 2 and under are free.
