Flapjack 5K Fun Run Details

Saturday morning is the big day for the annual City of Friendswood Flapjack 5K Fun Run/Walk and Kid's K at Stevenson Park. We will still take registrations right up until race time. We still have some shirts, so first come, first serve. If you are already registered and did not pick up your packet today, December 1 st we will have a table set up near the Stevenson Park Gazebo with your packet ready for you. You can pick up your packet starting at 7am on Saturday.

Event Parking

Parking for the event will be at City Hall and adjacent lot, Old City Park, and along Shadwell Ln. PLEASE NOTE: City Hall and the adjacent parking lot will need all vehicles removed by 10am sharp to get ready for Santa in the Park.

Race Information

All Kid's K participants will run one lap around the track, which is just short of half a mile, that will take place at 8:00am, about 15 minutes before the 5K starts at around 8:15am.

If you are a 5K RUNNER, you will be chip timed for the race.  This means you will carry a chip attached to your bib (race number), which will track your time from the point you start the race to the time you end the race.  It is very important that you do not swap bibs as your bib and chip are associated with your information.

If you are a 5K WALKER, please make sure to line up behind all the runners before the start of the race.   You may bring strollers and leashed dogs with you on the route.

We will have plenty of water bottles to quench your thirst at the Gazebo, finish line and at the water station in the middle of the race.  We will also have fresh bananas if you need a snack before the race,

After the Race

The Whataburger pancake breakfast will be served starting at 8:30am at the Stevenson Park Rotary Pavilion to all participants.

After the last walker has finished the race, we will start the awards ceremony, which will be approximately 9:30am.  The overall male and female winners will win free Whataburger for a year! We will also have plenty of door prizes to be given out from the local businesses, so don't miss it!
