Friendswood Shooting Update: One Victim Dead; Another Still in Critical Condition

Friendswood, TX (December 24, 2023, 9:45 p.m.) - It is with great sorrow that the Friendswood Police Department announces that one of the victims, Ethan Riley, 18, of Friendswood, has died as a result of his injuries.  Investigators are working with the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office to enhance charges as a result of his passing. The other victim remains in critical condition at a local hospital.

The suspect, Connor Hilton, 17, of Friendswood, remains in custody at the Galveston County jail. The District Attorney has increased his bond to $500,000 on each of the Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury charges.

The thoughts and prayers of the Friendswood Police Department are with the family and friends of both victims during this time.
