Traffic Alert:  Gas Leak

On February 26, 2024, at approximately 11:54 AM, contractors struck a gas line while doing construction near the H-E-B gas station. Three Eastbound lanes of traffic on FM 528/W. Parkwood  Ave. are being redirected into the center turn lane at this time. The Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department and Friendswood Police Department are on scene assessing the situation and redirecting traffic. Avoid the area. No injuries have been reported. We will issue an update once lanes are reopened.
