Senior Citizen Spring Picnic & Egg Hunt - Wednesday, April 10

Hop on over to the Large Rotary Pavilion at Stevenson Park on April 10, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, for our Senior Citizen Spring Picnic & Egg Hunt! We've got hot dogs, chips, and cookies waiting for you. The main event? The Egg Hunt, where you could snag 1 of 5 fabulously shiny Golden Eggs with fantastic prizes inside! Spring Sparkle - Saturday, April 13

Spring Sparkle is coming up on Saturday, April 13th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at Centennial Park, 2200 S. Friendswood Dr. Friendswood residents are invited to participate in this City Wide Clean up. Services that will be offered are listed below. If you have any questions, please call the City of Friendswood Parks and Recreation Department at 281-996-3220.


Friendswood Residents

Please have your ID available for proof of residency. 

Electronic Recycling (8:00 am - 12:00 pm)
Accepting computers, routers, laptops, power cords, USB, cell phones, monitors, hubs, printers, cables, cable boxes, servers, ink jet/toner cartridges, keyboards, switches, TV’s (No TV’s over 36”), fax machines, and telephones.

Shredding Services (8:00 am - 12:00 pm)
Shredding will be offered from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m., or until truck is full. There will be a 200 lb. limit or 4 medium boxes of paper per vehicle. Items not able to be shredded are 3 ring binders, cardboard, floppy disks, hanging file folders, newspaper, microfiche, and video tapes. Residential shredding only (no Commercial shredding).

Clean-Up Items
Tree limbs, grass clippings, old appliances, old furniture, unwanted wood, metal, and plastic.

Garage Sale
KFB will be accepting garage sale donations such as; furniture, household items, bikes, etc. in good condition, (clothing not accepted). Garage sale items can be dropped off from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Centennial Park. All proceeds from the garage sale will benefit the beautification of City facilities and parks. 

No Hazardous Waste
Examples of items that will not be accepted are: tires, paint, batteries, oil, or any other household hazardous waste. If you have any questions please call the Parks and Recreation Department at 281-996-3220.
