Due to hazardous conditions from the winter storm the City of Friendswood is advising residents to stay off the roads and stay safe until conditions improve. To check for road conditions, visit Houston Transtar or Drive Texas.

Non-Emergency Police Number:

Galveston County Residents can call Texas New Mexico Power in the event of a power outage or to report downed power lines 888-866-7456.

Harris County Residents can call CenterPoint Energy in the event of a power outage or to report downed power lines 713-207-2222.

Trash & Recycling

Trash pick up and recycling will not be operating on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. At this time, Wednesday trash pick up will be operating with a late start.

City Facility Closures

Friendswood City Hall, Animal Control, Library, and Senior Activity Building will be closed for normal operations on Tuesday, January 21^st.

Municipal Court

Friendswood Municipal Court has canceled jury trials that were to be held on Wednesday, January 22^nd. All jurors are released from their jury duty, however you may receive a rescheduled jury summons In the future. For further information, You may email the court at court@friendswood.com.

Public Meetings

All public meetings are cancelled from January 20^th-January 24^th.
