Master Drainage Plan Public Meeting

The City of Friendswood would like to invite you to attend a public meeting for the Friendswood Comprehensive Master Drainage Plan (MDP) Study on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Friendswood Activity Building, located at 416 Morningside Drive, Friendswood, TX 77546.

The City of Friendswood Engineering Department is leading a year-long Study and analysis to update its Master Drainage Plan to identify critical drainage problems, reduce flood risks, and guide responsible growth and infrastructure investment for the future of Friendswood.

We are in the existing conditions phase of the Study, where the Study team is investigating what the current flood risks and vulnerabilities are in Friendswood this is where we need your feedback and stories. We need to know where you, as a resident of Friendswood, have experienced flooding in the City, so we can paint a complete picture of the existing flood risks in Friendswood.

At the public meeting, there will be a pre-recorded presentation about the MDP, along with exhibits and maps detailing the watersheds, current conditions and flood risks within the City. There will be project team members there to answer your questions, and opportunities to submit written feedback directly to the project team. This is your chance to influence the future of flood planning in Friendswood.
