What is Fire Weather?

Fire Weather is when favorable conditions such as high winds and low humidity are present and make it possible for fires to start and spread rapidly. Read more in the local forecast: https://www.weather.gov/hgx/

Fire Weather Safety Tips, Avoid the Spark. High winds make it easy for fire to spread quickly. Don’t keep it lit. Never toss lit cigarettes on the ground. Call if you see smoke or fire. Call 281-996-3300 to report open burning and 9-1-1 for an active fire

As a reminder, open burning is prohibited within the City limits. This includes the burning of trash, debris, and/or yard waste. Report open burning at 281-996-3300.
