The City of Friendswood Engineering Department is leading this important project to update its Master Drainage Plan to identify critical drainage problems, reduce flood risks, and guide responsible growth and infrastructure investment for the future of Friendswood, and for the benefit of all those who live in Friendswood.
We are in the alternative analysis phase of the project, when the project team is refining and evaluating strategies and solutions to address the current and future needs of Friendswood - this is where we need your feedback. We need to know what you, as a resident of Friendswood, think about these proposed strategies, so the team can create the most effective plan for addressing flood risks in Friendswood.
At the public meeting, there will be a pre-recorded presentation about the MDP, along with exhibits and maps showing the City’s watersheds, an overview of flood risk within the City, and the proposed solutions that the team has created for your review and comment. There will be project team members there to answer your questions, and opportunities to submit written feedback directly to the project team. This is your chance to directly influence the future of flood planning in Friendswood through the MDP.
