Activities, Trips & Special Events

Friendswood seniors may participate in a variety of activities, trips and special events creatively designed to meet the ever changing needs and interests of a growing and active adult population. Offered on the weekly activities calendar is everything from Puzzles to:

• Fitness instruction
• Line dancing
• Tap dancing

Most classes are taught by volunteer instructors. Special events offered each month range from holiday celebrations to live entertainment performances by local and regional artists, lectures and instructors.

Field trips are scheduled monthly and throughout the year, offering short, local day trips to nearby attractions and points of interest.

Participation & Tickets

Activities, trips, and special events are for senior citizens only and may require an RSVP completed online or in person at the Activity Center. All field trips leave from the Activity Building, 416 Morningside.

Trip tickets and special event ticket sales begin on the first of each month. Friendswood residents may purchase tickets starting at 9:00 a.m., and all other participants may purchase beginning at noon. Tickets are available in the office or through our  Online Catalog.

Seating is limited.
