Capital Improvement Projects

City sponsored projects, called Capital Improvements, such as the construction of new or existing public facilities and the construction of new or existing public utility infrastructure command more involvement by project managers. A few examples of tasks associated with these types of projects are as follows: 


  •     Acquisition of easements/rights-of-way
  •     Construction supervision
  •     Contract administration
  •     Contract closures
  •     Execution of the project bidding process
  •     Infrastructure testing
  •     Involvement with the engineering and design phase
  •     Materials testing scheduling and oversight
  •     One-year maintenance oversight
