2026 Bond Ad Hoc Committee

On September 8th and October 6, 2025, the City Council established and appointed a 36 person Bond Ad Hoc Committee (35 members & one council liaison) to identify and prioritize bond funding for proposed projects to be recommended to the City Council for potential funding in a bond election to be hold on November 3, 2026.

MEETINGS:

• Typically 5:30 p.m. unless otherwise listed on the agenda.
• Meets every first and third Wednesday of the month.
• Meeting Room, Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department, Station 1, Whitaker Dr., unless otherwise listed on the agenda.

MEMBERSHIP & SUBCOMMITTEES:

The 35 members were assigned into one of the following five subcommittees to review, analyze, and prioritize related projects:

1. Facilities: Projects related to all city buildings including renovations & new structures; i.e., Library, Fire Stations, City Hall, etc.
2. Parks: Projects related to all updates, refurbishing or amenities for parks, purchase of park land, pool, walking trails, splash pads, equipment, etc.
3. Drainage: Projects related to neighborhood specific drainage projects, and storm water.
4. Streets & Transportation: Projects relates to the reconstruction or construction of City controlled roads, bridges, as well as projects to relieve congestion.
5. Finance: Analysis of finances, costs and financing of related bonds for projects.
